Baton was an attempt to gamify task management for teams. Simply, a team lead could manage multiple people under him/her and invite them to work on these tasks, the invitee could choose to accept/reject the task and on task completion, there is to be a reward structure put into place. The application had a very intuitive UI elements and that made this application a user-friendly product.
The requirements of the client changed drastically as the project progressed and accommodating those was one of the biggest challenges that the team faced. Another big challenged that was faced was to develop an application that is intrinsically different from any other application in the same domain while keeping the needs of industry professionals in mind.
Team’s engineering manager was quick to get the together when the client changed the requirements and since the project was designed keeping in mind the possibility that such change requests might come, we were able to handle them quickly. We reviewed a lot of gamified applications and taking inspiration from all of them, we developed this application to only put those features that work.
Currently the version 1 of the application is live and we are working on the next version. The first adopters of this application had great things to say about it and we believe that the next version will hold much more potential.
