This application was developed to help consumers find interesting events happening around them. The event organizers could list their events on this application and then the users could see those events on a map layout with the option to register for that event directly. Organisers could also manage invites through this application and it also worked as an access pass to the event.
One challenge that was faced was to make this application real-time where events would show up on a user’s map as soon as they were listed. This had to be achieved keep data consumption and performance constraints in mind.
To solve the performance and functionality trade-off, the team had to go in-depth into Angular and had to distribute background tasks across lifecycle events in such a way that maximum efficiency could be achieved.
This application is currently live on the app store and has stellar reviews from its early adopters.
